Attorney Daniel Boroja

Daniel Boroja leads BBA Law’s estate planning, probate, and elder law practice—and sets the standard for meticulous preparation and excellence that defines the firm.
A Michigan native, Daniel earned dual bachelor’s degrees with honors in Political Science and Economics from Oakland University before graduating Cum Laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 2013 and to the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Daniel doesn’t do “good enough.”

Joel Bernier

Joel Bernier leads BBA Law’s divorce and family law practice with a rare combination: the strategic mind of a proven trial attorney and the emotional intelligence to navigate the deeply personal dynamics that define family matters.
Born and raised in the Detroit area, Joel knows Michigan’s people, courts, and legal system intimately. His path to law was unconventional—he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Wayne State University and a Master’s in Music Industry from the University of Miami before discovering his calling in the courtroom. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2010.
That diverse background shapes his approach. Joel understands that divorce, custody disputes, and family transitions aren’t just legal questions—they’re life-changing events involving complex emotions and personal dynamics. His attentive listening, meticulous attention to detail, and genuine regard for each client’s unique circumstances allow him to craft strategies that address both the legal and human elements of every case.
Joel is also a battle-tested trial attorney. During his years in criminal defense, he won over a dozen jury trials—securing acquittals and not-guilty verdicts for his clients. That courtroom success translates directly to family law: while most cases settle, clients can trust that if their case requires a fight, Joel knows how to win.
